Bridging the gap between creative people and the cold hearted business world is just one of the many things that keep CVM busy. A blend of technology and art has certainly been a theme in her life, and so it is the entertainment industry where we will find her at her best.

CVM began her career in performer management with stints at various actors agencies such as the Characters and Talent Group in Toronto through to her position as statistician at ACTRA where she was able to make much of her passion for Cancon by reporting on foreign and domestic production work in Toronto's busy film & television scene. She learned much about journalism and the media as VP and assignment editor for technology news syndicate Cyberwalker Media where she managed successful tech journalist Andy Walker during the tech boom, securing regular columns in newspapers across Canada and business publications in the US. She went on to organize and facilitate players in the entertainment industry with clients such as Blue Rodeo, notorious publicist Richard Flohil, Rufus' Island Guitar Shop, and the Victoria Conservatory of Music. She has also created and maintains people-friendly web sites for various artists like John Sheard, Mary Margaret O'Hara, Cynthia Dale, The Rivoli and Queen Mother Cafe. For the last 10 years she has been a loyal personal assistant to Canadian jazz great and CBC 2 radio host Molly Johnson, facilitating record label, fan, band and charity activities for this talented and philanthropic musician. CVM created, hosted and booked the popular all Canadian music series the Maple Lounge at the legendary Rivoli in Toronto for a couple of years before heading west to Jericho Beach in Vancouver. Seldom without her digital camera and notebook she is an avid photo journalist and writer of opinion articles. CVM manages and writes songs with her long time sweetheart singer songwriter Reid Jamieson. A regular on CBC's Vinyl Cafe Reid's last disc was produced by Josh Finlayson (Skydiggers, Gord Downie), and features Sarah Harmer and Bob Egan (Blue rodeo, Wilco). The two continue to write and record and should have a new full length ready for the spring of 2010. You can listen to a song CVM wrote with Reid for the Vinyl Cafe about not giving up on herself, it’s called RAIL and can be found on his new EP Courting Juniper.
